MELTING DRIVEN NATURAL CONVECTION IN NANO PCM HEATED FROM BELOW

A two-dimensional numerical model was developed to analyze heat transfer behavior of PCM-based heat sink using Copper nano enhanced PCM. It found that the presence of CuO nanoparticles accelerates the melting of PCM and the heat source can be cooled efficiently. However, the period of safe operation of heat source decreases with increasing nanoparticles fractions.
